Taipei has Taipei 101. Taoyuan Fuxing has the 303-meter-long “New Xikou Suspension Bridge” across the river! This itinerary includes a boat ride on the Amuping Blue Highway that departs only at high water level to see New Xikou Suspension Bridge and enjoy the broken bridge, waterfalls, and cliffs along the way!
Appreciate the hundred-year wood art of Daxi at the only museum in western Taiwan without walls. Learn about tea art at the tea room with both Japanese and classic western exquisiteness and listen to the local history stories of Daxi. The trail between Guanyin Cave and Bat Cave with rich ecology has been connected after renovation. Travelers can take a walk on the trail (one-way trip takes one hour) and enjoy the lush forest, river sounds, and flying waterfalls.

Daxi Wood Art Ecomuseum
Daxi Wood Art Ecomuseum is the only museum in western Taiwan without walls. With 6 theme public museums and 13 corner houses, it is a must-visit of many travelers to Daxi. The museum introduces two core themes: “Daxi Wood Art Industry” and “Daxi Resident Lifestyle.”

Hundred-Year Tea House at Daxi
Lantia 1918
Located on Daxi Old Street, Lantia 1918 preserves the architectural façade of the “Tatsuno Style” in the Japanese ruling period. The three-bay-two-hall street house is restored with the new incorporated into the old. The tea room combines both the Japanese and classic western exquisiteness. Taste tea here and enjoy the poetic nostalgia.

Guanyin Cave-Bat Cave Trail: natural and ecological exploration
Guanyin Cave Trail
The trail is built along the upstream valley of Sanmin River. Enjoy the sound of running water accompanied by the refreshing and pleasant chirping of insects and birds along the way. Besides, the lush and beautiful forest full of greenness is as amazing as a secret land in the mountains. Travelers can find a variety of ferns and tree ferns and learn about plants on the encyclopedia in the forest with rich ecology.

Sanmin Bat Cave
The bat cave is located in a ravine north of Sanmin Village. As a large natural rock cavern under a spring, the cave is also known as the Shuilian (water curtain) Cave. Since the bat cave is still in its natural primitive condition and nearby a ravine, it has attracted a large number of bats to make it their home and hence got the name of “bat cave.” The trail is shaded and cool along the way with rich ecology to enjoy.
